Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.

This product had multiple flaws. first the handle came off within two weeks. Second, it would never boil the water properly. Third, it is quite hard to clean.
The kettle was purchased for using with my Chemex, and arrived with some green oxidation around the top lip under the lid. It came off with some scrubbing, but unfortunate to have to do with a new product before I even used it. When boiling, if you fill it up too much it will shoot boiling water out of the gooseneck spout. Be careful, I learned that the hard way.
I have been using it every morning now that I know the small nuances.
First, the good. The kettle is made of solid materials, and holds up well to heat. It holds about four cups of water, but I would probably keep it around three, as you need room for the water to boil. I really like the size and design of the spout, which keeps water flowing at a slow and very steady rate. The lid will not come off while pouring, though there is a downside to this.
Now, the reason for the three star review. The lid is extremely hard to get on and off, and needs to be at just the right angle. Again, it does mean that it will not fall off while pouring water, but I would prefer to just hold the handle on. The knob on the lid was a bit loose. Unfortunately, the screw holding it on was stripped. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was either the poor quality control or poor construction. The handle was scuffed, there were water stains inside the kettle, around the rim, and on the lid.

This kettle is PERFECT. It heats the water up fast and safely and pours so neatly and slowly that you get the PERFECT taste from your coffee grounds. I feel special and spoiled when I use it. GET IT - YOU WON'T REGRET IT!
Once water starts to boil, the water will come out of the spout! You will have to remove it from heat as soon as water is heated to prevent this. The lid gets stuck and is difficult to open - great when pouring water, but dangerous when steam is coming out of the top holes. Not impressed.
