The pitcher is really beautiful. Unfortunately, as I was washing it the first time, hot water (not very hot) splashed on it and the pitcher cracked. The description said that the picture was Temperature resistant. The pitcher was room temperature at the time and the hot was out of the tap and not very hot. The pitcher also chipped and it was not suppose to do that either.

So I purchase this pitcher because my last pitchet broke As soon as I opened it's package I knew it was a quality product better than the one I had before. The colors on the pitcher are vivid and very nicely done. It gives you a European feel. It's not as big as a regular pitcher but it is perfect for me. I use it to fill pots to make the ice tea or lemonade. I use it to add more liquid to my soups or gravies or sauces. It has a very nice presence in the kitchen or dinning room without being intrusive. I love this pitcher.

Because I liked the design, I returned the pitcher and ordered another one, with a request to the company to check it for defects before sending the replacement.
